Upcoming Event - New Mills Carnival 2025. Takes place on Saturday 7th June

Glossop SNT - New Mills Carnival and Parade 2025

The event is organised by Visit New Mills and the parade will leave Market Street at 1pm making its way down Union Road, up Albion Road, turning right on to Wirksmoor Road with floats and bands entertaining the crowds before ending on the carnival field at Newtown rec.

Once on the Rec there willl be a family funfair, stalls and loads of entertainment thoughout the afternoon/early evening.

The carnival parade will affect traffic re road closures (see below) - expect delays and some disruption leading upto and during the event - at least until it enters the recreation ground at about 2 pm. 

Meal Street            12 pm - 2 pm

High Street            12 pm - 2 pm

Market Street        12.45 pm - 2 pm 

Union Road           12.45 pm - 2 pm

Albion Road          12.45 pm - 2pm 

Wirksmoor Road  12.45 pm - 2 pm

Visit New Mills will endeavour to keep the closures as short as possible and may be able to re-open the roads a little earlier - but this will depend how the parade goes on the day.
